It is sad that I probably never would have played Crackdown if not for the Halo 3 beta. Also sad is that this game was not on my radar until that comparison was drawn.
@Enrisan It's nice that you are here looking for advice. I guarantee that the big budget studios could care less what the riff raff has to say if they were working on a Halo film.
Perhaps less emphasis on story is better in this case? The trailer without the context is strong, and if your budget only allows for what you already have available, you could simply make it about one of the first MJOLNIR Spartans that was not John and still have an interesting story that fits with everything shown in the trailer.
I've personally always been interested in seeing more about Linda. She was amazing while she lasted, easily as amazing as John, just less fortunate.
That, and MJOLNIR was not implemented in the Spartan program until John & Co. came into the picture. Before Halsey got involved the MJOLNIR suits were for moving heavy cargo around, akin to a forklift. If anything, the early Spartans would have been very similar to what we have seen in the videogames as ODSTs or Helljumpers.
I wouldn't change much. The simplicity of use is second to none. More creative connectivity options and a lower price would be a few ways it could be improved.
I picked this game up along with Transformers: WfC. I wanted to ignore the reviews since I know they can be overly critical with some games. Put this one in first since I have been anticipating it for a while now. I gave it a couple of sittings/hours, and I have completely lost any interest in attempting to finish it. Very early on you are treated with a scripted sequence that makes you realize that you are in the boots of the worlds most incompetent sniper, trying to complete a mission with the worlds most incompetent special ops team.
One of the reviews I read was spot on. CoD does it better...much better.
As for Transformers: WfC, it is incredible. Actually, I found the sniping in Transformers more engaging and fulfilling than what is found in Sniper: GW.
Gizmondo didn't find the phone. They acquired it from the person that did find it after Apple locked them out of it, rendering it useless to the original finder. That person found it before the iPhone OS 4 announcment and commenced playing with it until they were locked out. If you are gonna point blame around like that, make sure you get the facts straight by actually reading the articles first.
So they will most likely skip the 3D portable in favor of some sort of cortex-link augmented reality. Just watch out for the leap year bug...you might temporarily lose your memories.
