Wisconsin Death Trip was a killer album, and is what got me through my deployment to the middle east.

I don't think that you can only lay PS3's bump last month at MGS4's feet. June was also the month that had all of the $100 gift card offers as well. So saying it sold well at four and five hundred dollars is great, but most people that bought it in June probably rationalized it as buying it at three or four hundred dollars. I know the $500 MGS4 bundle + $100 gift card was hard to walk by for me when I saw it at Wal-Mart.

I don't remember who it was, but a year or two ago a Microsoft exec stated that their strategy would involve alternating years of Gears and Halo. It's looking like that could be the case. Gears in 06, Halo 3 in 07, Gears 2 in 08, and whatever this is in 09 probably. So don't be surprised when Gears 3 comes out in 2010, probably as the consoles swan song, or as a launch title for the next xbox.

I think it will to an extent, but I think the bigger bump for June will come from all of the people jumping on the Wal-Mart special. The 80 gig bundle with a DS3 and MGS4 for $499 with a $100 gift card is pretty aggressive. If I didn't have bigger concerns (I live in Cedar Rapids, Iowa) I'd probably be on it.

You mean like Ninja Gaiden: Black, with its metacritic score of 94? The regular version won more than one GOTY award, and has a 91 metacritic. I would say he can speak on quality. Although I still think the guy is an asshole.

I followed the link and checked it out. Part of my soul died.
