Sony's 3D Display available on Nov. 13

Oct 19th 2011 1:42PM (Joystiq)
@Kamalot Having used to wear glasses all the time to see, and now a prolific used of sunglasses (thanks motorcycle) I don't understand what are wrong with 3D glasses. Specifically polarized glasses.

They are simple, light weight, and don't look bad. Though if you are concerned about looking bad while playing games perhaps you shouldn't play games at all. More often than not one does things that look terrible while playing games..

@Mr Hett Any screen that supports 3D really. It would just require a simple firmware update. Even passive 3D screens would do it without a problem, and you could get a new pair of glasses everytime you went to the movies.

PlayStation Store available for the one PlayStation Certified tablet

@TreeFoxx Indeed. They apparently worded the sentence without the full grasp of devices that were "Playstation Certified". What would have been correct to say is that:

"Of the current Playstation Certified devices, only the Sony Tablet S has access to the Playstation Store"

I wish they would hurry up an roll it out the the Xperia Play. I'd like to get a few of these games for mine.

Battlefield 3 fires up some multiplayer gameplay footage

@rezhoner There is a much larger difference between "lower rez graphics" and literal "this game looks so bad my eyes are bleeding". Some of my favorite console games don't sport the best graphics (looks at Dark Souls), but never the less I enjoy them. I am more concerned on if the console version, specifically the 360 version, will be aliased to the point that everything is muddled together. If that is the case I will just wait and pick up Battlefield 3 when I have the spare cash to upgrade the other components.

The 360 and PS3 still put out enjoyable graphics. It is however, up to the developer if they want to optimize their game to the point to allow such a thing. Without optimization it is entirely possible for BF3 to run @640x480, low resolution textures, no AA/AF, and still chug in the FPS department. I am just curious as to well along they got it running. And if reasonable enough I will be more than happy to pick it up on Xbox 360.

I am by NO MEANS a graphics snob, but some are just plain difficult to look at. And by that I mean it is physically uncomfortable on the eyes because they are having a hard time focusing on what is what. I ran into this problem on War for Cybertron. But that was not an inherent flaw of not being correctly optimized. It was just the general color pallet and geometry the game used. Was still a fantastic game though.

@TheKbob Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed Fable 3, but if they offered the PC's challenge mode up as DLC for the 360 version? I would be ALL OVER THAT

Waiting to see how the full version of the 360 version looks. So unless someone gets a leaked copy, records it, puts it on youtube, and I watch it before EA has it forcibly removed I won't have it preoreded and will pick it up after release. Which saddens me a great deal.

I would get the PC version, but all of my friends are getting it for 360, and my mobo and CPU are lagging way behind what my HD5670 offers.

@Robborboy And as addendum, why must I be relegated to seeing videos that are of ridiculously subpar quality when both my mobile data and wifi are more than capable of streaming the full quality video?

@Robborboy Dear Joystiq,
Please fix your android app. It is painful to have to retype comments because the app notifies me that posting has failed. Only try it again and still my post isn't there. Only to check on my PC to see in actuality that both are there
