For leveling? why not. For small time casual guilds? why not.
If you ever EVER want to raid hardcore (actual raiding guild) with her, you better be her fucking best. Hell, you better be on your best as well. Lets say you get into a raiding guild, and she gets in 'as a friend'. So 4 nights a week you're in Naxx getting leet loot while she sits in Dalaran with a bag full of pots desperately waiting for someone to have to leave. Ya, she'll be pissed.
Or, the other way around happens. Not only will you be demoralized and humiliated that your girlfriend is a better palyer then you, you'll be deprived of a chance to join a guild that could use you, because god forbid you leave the guild she's in.
Nothins screams 'BONDING EXPERIENCE' like one of you sitting in a city, staring at the screen for hours hoping that you'll get a chance, while the other gets loaded with purples.
TL;DR - if you want to raid, don't fucking get your girlfriend playing unless she's good enough to actually get in raids without you begging.
Everyone posting so far seems to have positive comments on the whole affair. But few realize just how many relationships are broken up via WoW. It could be something as simple as you get into a raid, and she doesn't. It could be you needed on an item she needed more.
Or, on the opposite scale, is she falls for someone ingame. Sure, it sounds far fetched, but it happens all the time - just check your realm forums, and chances are within a page or two there'd be a massive flame thread about such an event. It comes down to this - people find out she's female, and start hitting on her, and giving her stuff. Next, they talk on vent; and in time, and frustrations she has about you she vents to him, they trade emails, they trade phone numbers... Then the next thing you know she's broken up with you and is moving to Kentucky to move in with your GM.
back for both vanilla wow and TBC, i had them running at a playable speed on a computer so crappy, that it didn't even have a graphic card listed. When I installed WoW, it warned me that I don't even meet the minimum requirements, let alone TBC. Yet, it worked. I'm sure Wrath will work fine for those with less then steller computers, so long as they're fine with lagging for a minute whenever the enter Shat / Ironforge. 15 fps isnt epic, but its more then playable.
Ya, because after running Shadow Labs 12 times to get to honored, I really look forward to running it an additional 18 times just so I have a chance at slightly better loot. I admit, the honored change is a bit of a nerf in some regards; hell; one can barely finish quests in Zang. without being honored with CE. But in places like Lower City, it's damn near impossible to get revered without running Shadow Labs so many times your eyes bleed.
As a shaman, I honestly DO care. See, #1, prot warriors have TWO CC's. you got the stun skill, AND the fear. What do I have? Nothing. Nothing. how do i get that rogue off my ass? I dont. no CC. NONE. Least be glad you have some CC, no matter how bad they may be.
thats like saying Only 20 something white males with the exact same weight should be allowed to play sports. You gotta introduce skill in your logic there.
1.I recruited one of my very close friends, and very hot girl. Since she got the game, her leveling has been extremely quick, she's really good at warlock (yet still sucks at PvP....o well) and everyone in my guild likes her...plus, it gives us something to talk about alot more.... equalling to us getting closer...
2. The other case. We got a friend of ours that we can only really tolerate in small doses to play... It took him 3 months to get to 30, and spent a majority of his time sitting in SW at making fun of random people and trying to be funny...luckily, he quit my big guild (bout 110 members, most lvl 30-70) and formed his own little one that...gulp...roleplays the night elves...*shiver*
