Ford E-Series celebrates 50 years with a special edition

How are 21 deaths per year (420/20) a safety risk? You have a better chance of dying by getting hit by lightning than in an Econoline.

Report: General Motors bringing back mild hybrids next year

Have any of you driven them? I had the "Pleasure" of an 09 Malibu Hybrid. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE drivetrain. You had to flog it to get anywhere since it was never in the right gear. Felt like someone was driving stick under there downshifting at every light.

Even reviews of this turd said it was slower than the 4 banger Malibu.

It was a horrible car and easily outclassed by even the Prius which is another HORRIBLE car (great tech experiment but horrible car).

BusinessInsider insists Android is the new Windows. Again.

I agree. As an Apple lover and an iPhone 3G owner, I'm pretty sure my next phone will be the Droid X. Why? It's not AT&T; I've found them to have excellent coverage. It's the iPhone OS.....

Android is as capable and in many cases more capable.

Widgets - Android 1, iOS 0 (and Apple knows how to do it)
Customization - Android 1, iOS 0
Choice of layouts - Android 1, iOS 0 (keyboard, no keyboard)
Screen Resolution - iOS 1, Android 0
Apps - iOS 1, Android 0

I've played with the iPhone 4 and it's a MEH upgrade. Sure that display is awesome. Facetime at this point is useless, the OS is the same old limiting factor and needs to be jailbroken to use its full potential.

It is pretty much a wash, but I'm digging a 4.x" screen phone and the ability to really customize my phone for how I use it.

I'll probably get a Droid X and try it out for a month and compare it to the iPhone.

Best buys at the warehouse club

You do realize the Wal-Mart = Cheap is a FARCE, right?

Look at the items in the article. For the most part Wal-Mart was more expensive than Target. Even where there were savings they were minuscule.

In the case of the Kraft Velveeta shells & cheese
Target: $1.50 price per unit
Walmart: $1.63 price per unit

That's $0.16 more for Wal-Mart

Wal-Mart is the scam and is not always cheaper.

Ford recalling select 2010 Ranger pickups over rollaway risk

Having pop started many sticks (when you're in college and a bad starter you do what you have to do :) 1st or 2nd gives you an easier time than 3rd-6th.

I'd imagine it would be the same for rolling away. Much easier to roll in 1st or 2nd.

But I may very well be wrong.

The only reason I would leave is to use our corporate 20% Verizon discount....

Even a stick can roll if left in gear, especially if it's 1st or 2nd.

Seven ways PC World is wrong about the iPhone-Android matchup

As someone who is majorly underwhelmed by iPone 4.0 and is an Apple lover I'm seriously thinking of ditching my iPhone and going to an Android phone.

Why? Many of those points....

1) I jailbroke my 3g for multitasking - it worked OK but made my phone unstable. Ended up going back to stock. Multitasking in 4.0 is very limited and has to be enabled by the apps. What about legacy apps that work fine and are not updated?

2) Tethering/hotspot - it's nice to have the option even for a monthly fee. I'm going on a road trip and it would be nice to enable it for a month while I'm gone and disable it when I get back.

3) Flash. I don't care what Steve and everyone else says It's needed now. Period, end of story. I'm tired of going to webpages and getting a crummy experience because of the lack of Flash. HTML5 is the future but for now we need Flash.

4) Apps are nice. I'd kill for WiFi sync - I had Bluetooth sync on my Palm and while slow it was handy. Yet we'll not see a 3rd party do it. I can do WiFi sync on an Android device with Missing Sync for Android. Not happening for any price on Android.

5) Customizable lock screen with widgets. Apple knows how to do this. Make it an option. I miss this from my Palm.

The iPhone is a great device but could be sooooo much better. Sadly it seems as if Apple is getting leapfrogged in this area.

Who knows, maybe 4.0 will WOW me but I don't think so and I seriously think a Droid device is in my future.

Look into the Missing Sync for Android: www.markspace.com

Should be just what you want.

Howard Stern digs his iPad

Notes rocks for e-mail. Much more stable, scalable, reliable, and better than the POS called Exchange.

He should look into the Notes iPhone app - that would be a good way to get his e-mail to his iPad.
