One of the original FF's (III) never saw a Playstation release, I wonder if Square-Enix will port the Famicom version?

I completely understand and agree with those figures. I have such a huge backlog of PS3 games it's ridiculous, should last well through the summer. By contrast, I haven't replaced the batteries in my Wiimote since they died three months back.

It was just an example, i've got a BC PS3 and my old PS2.

With another pair of controllers, another box under the TV, another plug socket/AV socket used and the inability to upscale!

If you were hard-up for cash and missed out on the PS2, you could get this with the God of Wars, the Team ICO games, the MGSs and the Final Fantasys (all exclusives), for less than a PS3. Seems like a good deal to me.

Given that you can still pick up the latest model of PSOne's for under $50 new, I imagine it would've been.

'Software BC' PS3's still have one of the 2 PS2 chips in it (the other is emulated in software).
'Hardware BC' PS3's have both (so it's not really 'emulation').
And the new PS3's have neither (but can still play all PS1 games).

Oh well, at least it's 'economy-friendly'. Especially in this economy.
