Haze box art steps out of the ... haze

Jun 21st 2007 5:58PM (Joystiq Playstation)
Humpty:
If I remember correctly, 18+ is the European equivalent of a Mature rating here. And I don't think the Europeans have an AO rating -- I believe they just refuse classification entirely.

Blu-ray movie releases for June 17th - aka the lonely week

Jun 18th 2007 12:23AM (Joystiq Playstation)
TheGuy:
Thanks, that is exactly what I was referencing. There's not a total drought of titles but one of the key blu-ray exclusive players (Fox) not releasing ANYTHING has staunched the flow of movies a bit. Luckily the BD+ system has been *almost* finalized, so we should look forward to a tidal wave of movies later this year.

Square confirms FFXIII isn't going to the 360 (nor is any other FF game)

Jun 5th 2007 7:40PM (Joystiq Playstation)
Azorean:
The article is relevant because FFXIII is a massive title that has been rumored to be going multi-platform since the day it was announced. Just like how we report on the exclusivity status of DMC4 and Metal Gear Solid, we report on the exclusivity status of FFXIII.

We aren't trying to sling mud at the 360 with this post. If you notice, we didn't make fun of the 360 at all in the post. But this news is important to both the PS3 and the 360 and is something that a lot of fans will want to hear, so that is why we decided to run this story.

Hope that is a satisfactory explanation. :)

New Army of Two screenshots: Destructible environment + vehicles

May 8th 2007 6:48PM (Joystiq Playstation)
Haha, You guys are a tough crowd.

I think the screenshots lack polish, but show a lot of potential. They also look way better than the August 2006 screenshots on GameSpot, in my opinion. They need to tweak the lighting a bit and fix the clipping/shadow issues with the massive arsenal each guy has slung around his shoulders. But other than that, I think it's looking like a really solid game.

I still don't like the dialog though. :D

Sony is 61 years old today!

May 7th 2007 11:08PM (Joystiq Playstation)
I'll start this off:
My favorite Sony experience is using my PSP everyday (sorry to sound corny). I ride the bus to and from work and actually utilize most of the functions of the PSP during my commute. I use it as my primary MP3 player, I watch movies and TV shows on it, and (of course) I play games on it. It makes my commute about a thousand times more pleasant, and I love it for that.

So thanks Sony! Now how about some more games for it? ;)

Yellow Dog Linux now supports wi-fi on the PS3

May 3rd 2007 8:39PM (Joystiq Playstation)
I believe it wipes both drives, but you can backup your PS3 partition using the Backup utility they include, and then restore all the date back to the 'new' PS3 partition.

This means you'll need a decent sized flash drive/USB hard drive to backup your data first, but it's better than the 360's harddrive data transfer solution...
