Totally use that to play Viva Pinata.

Free Blue Dragon content hits Live Marketplace

Wait, 0 yen is 0 dollars?!
..
No just kidding.

@8 I totally agree.

I'm sure eventually the 360 will pick up in Japan, provided the companies continue to give it good games (in the Japanese eyes, I mean.) that will sell well over there. You can't really sell a lot of copies of a game for a system that didn't really sell well either. :P

New Super Mario Bros. is still in there.
That's cool. :)

Former Clover members start up new studio

Feb 15th 2007 11:19AM (Joystiq)
Oh well that's nice to know. I found it a little weird when the studio was liquidated right after making a hit game. Hmm. Strange.

It does hint strongly to being in favour of Sony consoles, which is a disappointment - only because I don't own anything past PS2 (not because I hate Sony or something silly like that.)

@29...Oh yeah I know.
I miss the beautiful fluid animation of the cartoons of my youth.

Who to enhance with a gaming face-lift?

Feb 5th 2007 10:09AM (Joystiq)
Like others have stated...only if they include the original in as well.

The idea of SoM in 3D makes me die inside a little.

...yes! Though I shudder at the thought of an outright remake of FF6 ...I'd much rather have that than a tired remake of VII...sigh. Overrated!
It should be put on the Wii only because the idea of it being on anything other than Nintendo is a little weird, seeing as that's where it started.

GTA Coke (the drink) ad in Super Bowl

Feb 5th 2007 10:04AM (Joystiq)
PERSONALLY I do not like this ad...but I don't like 50% of all ads on TV (the other 45% I just don't notice. The last 5% amuse me.)...but this ad does what it intends and catches my attention whether I want it to or not.

As an ad though, it is a good idea...promoting kindness and love and all that...sadly that will be lost on the majority of the demographic its intended for who will just think it's "kiddy and lame."

Weekly Webcomic Wrapup: Bleach edition

Feb 4th 2007 9:51AM (Joystiq)
Not that I'm bashing Bleach, because it's one of the only anime left that I actually enjoyed, but that video held my attention five seconds longer than 99.9% of most anime these days. -sigh-

Otherwise, I'm voting for Penny Arcade. I enjoy Mario Party a ton, it's great, but it still amuses me to see somebody making fun of it.

Konami announces Dewy's Adventure for Wii

Feb 4th 2007 9:40AM (Joystiq)
@#48 bm
Thankyou. Super Monkey Ball is insanely challenging, despite the cutesy design. Now I have a mighty need to snap my thumb off from playing it too long, as I always do hahaha.

@Everyone else
Wow. This was an incredibly amusing read. I do not feel like I wasted that five plus minutes of my life from all the laughing I did. Really cheered me up from my bad morning.

Anyways, I am looking forward to this game. Hopefully it won't disappoint. The design is definitely from the Elebits team - Dewy's is looking pretty gorgeous and nice from an artist's point of view. If the gameplay is as nice as I think it will be, I'll definitely be picking this up. More so, if it provides a challenge.

Because you know, I too am an intelligent adult. I play 'hardcore' games like Halo and Gears and Zelda and enjoy them fine, but I'm comfortable enough with my masculinity to be found playing a game like Dewy's because it is just that enjoyable. Just like I am comfortable enough to play Super Monkey Ball, or Elebits, or generally anything else that doesn't have blood and guts and isn't considered 'manly'.

Sincerely,
Flynn

Gamer lexicon that bugs

I just don't understand the beef with "wiimote." It's just like a nickname to "Wii Remote." Nobody beefs about saying "should'nt" or "can't" instead of should not or cannot. Or saying Mike instead of Michael.

I mean. Seriously.

Wifi? It's been used forever (since Wifi @_@) I mean...Jesus.
