I was like aw man its the same stuff as before, but now they have ships! You can control your own ship its not just a ride you get on you can steer it. That's great, and yeah Greymantle you are right not coming until at least 2013 if not farther out.
The UI is in a bad state and they are working on it, thank God! And as Hipster said the game was made with a game pad in mind not a keyboard/mouse setup. This is due to the fact that they where aiming for a simultaneous launch on the PS3 and PC, the PC happened and we now know that the PS3 will take 2 years from PC launch. So next October-December will be when you eventually see it (Beta during that period).

As far as Matt comparing it to how it was before, how is he suppose to do that if this is his first sojourn into the game? At least I think that's what I read in his previous article. As most will tell you that are playing it and played it since launch. The game in itself is 100 times better now then when it launched. Not to say that the game is great just that it's better, and they are working to make it even better. With the next two patches we should see a good improvement of the game since they are introducing some things that people have been raging about for a while.
Anyone heard about expansions? Technically that is what 2.0 will be. Have you seen all the changes they will do to WoW once that new expansion launches next year/2013? So how is this game any different? And do any of those complaining realizable that it takes cold hard cash to get this work done. You milked the Cow for free long enough its time to pay the piper.
I am hopeful that they will continue to better the product and that 2.0 is a success. And yes I will sub for this game, is the game sub worthy? Almost, but if they keep up with this it will be in a few months, so I am willing to pay and play.

I am looking forward to what is coming with the patches in the future. Yoshi-P has been doing a good job and as others have said does a good job communicating to non-Japanese communities which is key in a game that will be played World Wide.
I honestly think that the issues are not a big deal, the player base has risen up and said SE you screwed up and SE said in return yes we did. For any future MMO's from SE or any other company for that mater we can point at XIV and say, look what happen to that game and they turned around and made it better. You new MMO get your crap together if SE can fix their crap so can you, dont waste my time!
F2P w/ Cash Shop not happening, and I am glad that it wont, when it does I am gone. As it is the game has been F2P for a whole year, those of you that chose to drop it well that's your problem. There are many players that are still willing to continue and even pay the Sub, for those that wont be subbing well dont let the door hit you where the lord split you on the way out.
Yes they screwed up, and they admitted it many times and said we sorry give us a chance to fix this, and they are trying to fix it. Why do people keep on saying just drop it? But that is just plain stupid, that's not how business works people, you cant expect a big company to just screw you and then dont even try to fix the problem. Would you ever even want to buy from them, ever again after that? Even a half ass attempt should happen and some of you still think that is the case. Those that dont want the game to be playable because they enjoy it quit trying to convince people that what your opinion is, is the right opinion. And that's the crux of it, your opinion does not mean its the right thing to do.

Totally agree, Cable looks like a wimp in that pic, he was much older and ragged looking than that in X-Factor. If he look like that I doubt he be the leader of the group. It's like trying to pass off Pierce Bronson as James Bond.
I personally enjoy the lore, I like to know more about what is going on in game and the fact that it's not just a bunch of pretty pixels. Yes there is the story aspect of it as a PC but there needs to be more, why am I killing that NPC? Is it just because it attacked a farmers chickens? Maybe they where just hungry or they are allergic to chickens or chickens are their mortal enemy? I want to know, it gives me a better understanding of why I am doing things in game, not that I am just a barbarian swinging an axe or a sword at anything that moves.
I also enjoy some of the books they write because it delves even further into the lore of the game. Though I was kind of disappointed with the GW2 book, the way it was written was as if you where in game doing the quest, it did not flow well, most of it was written well but the quest they sent you on, well you could see the exclamation mark on the character in the book the way they did it. They could of even stretched out the book to multiple short stories and it would of been better.
