The success of this will depend on what kind of stuffs you unlock and if it balances well. If I have to walk 30 miles to unlock a shirt in Animal Crossing, no thanks.

It looks fine except the "PlayStation" logo at the bottom feels slapped-on. It's most likely temporary though.

Joystiq really dislike the 3DS it seems. Every article here about the 3DS are full of hate.

RockStar is setting up this game to be the Red Dead Redemption of 2011. Even down to the release date. (RDR came out May 18)

Drop7 is my #1 favorite game on iDevice. It's the puzzle game of this generation along with Lumines. Everyone should go play it.

PSP losing to the DS was not really a price issue in the beginning. It was the lack of interesting software.

The DS was losing a lot of ground to the PSP until the stream of mainstream and innovative software such as Nintendogs, Mario Kart, Kirby Canvas Curse, Meteos, Brain Age, Trauma Center, Phoenix Wright….all came within less than 6 months, along with the refresh to the sexier DS Lite. Many of those games generated a lot of talk among hardcore and casual crowds, and the touch screen offer a lot of games we never experienced before.

On the other hand, the PSP was stuck with console ports or console game experience, which offer things that people have already seen before.

Since then, the price of each DS iteration have been upped and it was still selling crazy. The DSi price is even higher than the PSP price now.

The chart is wrong.
The PSP was launched at $250 and DS launched at $150.

The PSP was launched at $250 with games at $40-50 in 2005. We are 2011 now and the price is in the same range.

People are crazy for expecting less.

This should be a launch title for the 3DS. It helped launched the Gamecube, the Wii, the iPhone's App Store...

Are you guys dumb or what? Those are Japanese price not the US price. The price is fine and they are in line with the current PSP game price over there. New PSP games such as Monster Hunter Portable 3rd cost 5800yen ($70) over there. That doesn't mean it will be $70 when it comes to the states.
