Mar 9th 2010 10:29AM (Joystiq)This story confuses me. Will you have to hit the right string and the right fret at the same time or is it just one or the other? To quote "What's unusual about the Power Gig guitar, in the context of a Guitar Hero-style game, is that players can be required to press any string in a specified region of the guitar fret, or press the exact proper string. They can be allowed to strum any string on the guitar or be required to strum a specific one". This makes it seem like one or the other. If that's the case this really decreases my interest in the game as it doesn't seem a good allegory to playing real guitar.
Another paragraph states that in chord mode you need to hit the right strings but that "It won't teach notes, but, in an indirect way, you'll be learning how to play". I would really like a screenshot of the in-game interface, or even better a video to clarify how the game is played
