Warner solving Arkham City DLC issue with a simple 5 step process

Oct 20th 2011 8:33AM (Joystiq)
I"m not so sure these gimmicks are going to have the intended effect. What may happen is that, knowing they will have difficulty selling a title, otherwise first-day buyers will decide to wait until the price of the game has been drastically reduced before making a purchase.

@(Unverified) It sounds like their anti-piracy method is just making a crappy game.

Ninja Theory: Enslaved performance prevented team expansion

I really loved Enslaved. It was more than a game--it was a journey. There aren't too many video games where the experience and story stick with you long after you've played it. i would have loved to have seen a sequel.

@Hawaii Jeff Here's the list:

Looks like some games get banned or cut and then re-released uncut every now and then. Still, sounds like it would be al pain in the ass.

The bare-breasted ones. Also, the clothed ones. All of them, really.

Egosoft's 'X Rebirth' brings the space exploration series back to life

Apr 23rd 2011 12:40PM (Joystiq)
@aughscreennames I'd say the biggest problem with it is that it became too complex. You were able to control multiple ships and factories--and because of the huge financial advantage doing so provided, you'd be crazy not to. But controlling that many assets became complex and tedious. If you could control no other ship (as in Elite), I think I would have enjoyed x3 more.

Still, I'm a sucker for a space sim, and I'll probably buy this new one, too.

Skyrim 'mostly a DirectX 9 game,' PC mods could make it to consoles

@Darklink2009 You'll miss out on a lot of user-created content--much of which includes graphical enhancements (such as much more detailed textures) that won't be possible on consoles.
