Winamp: Official Supporter of WebM

Jul 20th 2010 6:36AM (Winamp Blog)
Can you please work on bringing Winamp to the Mac OS X platform? I'm a recent switcher and I terribly miss the MP3 player I've been using since the 90s!

Lenovo Skylight: its first ARM / Snapdragon-based smartbook, coming in April for $499

Jan 5th 2010 6:36AM (Engadget)
If it was $300 I would say awesome job, but $500 is insane.

The whole point of smartbooks is to have crazy battery life thanks to running on ARM chips and low price points, making them cheaper than Atom based solutions.

Palm Eos on track for AT&T release second half of 2009

May 24th 2009 6:27PM (Engadget Mobile)
For comparison sake, the Nokia E71 is 114 x 57 x 10 mm and has a 2.36 inch screen.

How did Palm fit a 2.63 inch screen in a device that isn't as wide (55 mm vs 57 mm) and isn't as tall (111 mm vs 114 mm)?

People complained the keyboard on the E71 is too small, how small will the keyboard on this thing be?

Disclosure: I own a Nokia E71 and love it.

Apple vs. Palm: the in-depth analysis

Jan 28th 2009 11:29AM (Engadget)
I wish you would mention that companies do not fight individual patents. Talk to any financial analyst and ask him to explain to you how patents are used in negotiations.

What is usually done is company A goes up to company B and says "i have a fistful of patents, give me money" and then company B goes "i too have a fistful of patents, give me money for those"

In all likelihood, and I'm willing to put money on this, Palm and Apple will not go to court. They will have meetings, but we'll never find out about them.
