Labeling people won't help fix the world. But with this Dymo, I sure might try!

Sorry, I'm a victim of my own habits.

Electrical fields deemed potentially harmful to your health

It just goes to show that if you want to live forever, sit on a mountaintop (hint: bring food), or live underground. If, on the other hand, you want to hang out with us surface-dwellers, you need to accept the fact that everything is gonna die, and some of the things you do may accelerate that process.

Next news item? "Scientists from the Institute of D.U.H. show that the elapsing of time may cause health-related risks. Research suggests that the only way to stop time from elapsing, at least on an individual level, is via death. However, that result did not establish a high success rate for prolonging life."

Joystiq hands-on: Carnival Games

I get it. I have a 5 year old at home, and I can't tell you how sick of Super Monkey Ball and Wii Sports I am. My son loves the games at the fair/carnival, and even though $40 is a little stiff, we'll be getting this for him post-haste.

Call of Duty 4 trailer

Geez, can't anyone play a game anymore? Does every game have to make a statement? I usually play a game or watch movies to escape from reality (with few exceptions) now and then to take a break. I guess I better start thinking about the message Command and Conquer 3 is sending me -- I know GoW had me looking funny at steroid-pumped, superhuman armed personnel for a long time! But I got over it.

The game looks entertaining, and I bet... just bet, that a video game will have no influence on my personal views, beliefs, nor on my habits; most likely because I am an adult. Maybe if folks are so influenced by video game messages and morals, then avoid games with the "M" rating, this means the game is not for you in more than a few ways.

Otherwise, come relax with me and shoot up some bad guys -- these bullets and lasers don't shoot themselves!

Jack Thompson suing Take-Two -- 2007 Edition

Oh yeah, I forgot: JT stinks. But if we ignore him, I doubt he'll go away. I like to stay informed of his shenanigans now and then; if he ever shows up in my neck of the woods to try some of this crap, I'd like to be around.

Jack Thompson suing Take-Two -- 2007 Edition

@Yashar:

"There is nothing wrong with M rated games and children playing them."

As a parent of two, I can't even begin to tell you how bad that sounds to me. I'm all for freedom of speech, but there ain't no way in hell my 5-year old and 2-year old will see Manhunt anytime soon, or any other M-rated games. I'm not judging you, you show your kids whatever you want, just keep them away from mine until they're old enough to understand.

That said -- I'm with Non-biter, as I want my Manhunt 2, GTA IV, and Postal 3. :) Yeah, I can see where people think the games are wicked bad, but it'll just be our secret. Oh, and I hope they're bringing back Brian Cox as the Director somehow in Manhunt 2 (I never could finish the first one).

Relax, play some SPEEDcluster

115,410 first try! Yay! This is a lot like a game in Hoyle's Card Games I play a lot. Very fun.
