Most of those sales are from working the crap out of their employees. I hear a lot of whining about gamestop on the internet but no one is more justified than someone who works for them.

its the most efficient way to do it, if you dont like it then dont buy it, its a simple as that, gamestop is huge on customer service so im sure someone would help you out, depending on the individuals that work at the store you go to

thats my point, its not their policy to sell used games as new, i like my job, i just dont like dealing with self centered people who throw a fit when they dont get their way, Gamestop is not evil, it is a business trying to make money, if it were a small business doing this no one would call them evil, ive seen smaller game companys do it and no one cares,

If it bothers you so much then dont buy the game!!!! if the games is scratched or was clearly played, take it back, employees are not supposed to sell that crap anyways, if you get really upset, chances are well return it no problem
