Pokemon Mystery Dungeon for WiiWare: first trailer and details
Jul 15th 2009 8:01PM (Joystiq Nintendo)No love for grass starters, it looks like. Unless they made the versions like this because the plot might have something to do with the 2nd gen legendaries.

Jul 15th 2009 6:18PM (Joystiq Nintendo)Doesn't matter though, you can tell which starters are in which game by the video.

Jul 15th 2009 6:15PM (Joystiq Nintendo)That said, aside from the awkward stacking thing, I'm interested in seeing how they handle this. The story's supposed to be about Arceus, and I think fellow Pokemon Mystery Dungeon fans know that these Dungeon games have pretty good stories by Pokemon standards.
From the looks of it, the only difference between each game so far is the starters (which Joystiq didn't mention when I sent this info in, but that's okay).

Jul 15th 2009 6:11PM (Joystiq Nintendo)(Even though they share the same sprites though, I think that so far, these Dungeon games have environments that look a lot better. Better to the point in which I couldn't tell if those were reused Pokemon Ranch sprites or not for a while.)

Jul 9th 2009 1:38PM (Joystiq Nintendo)The reason why it's this cheap is because the developers figured that families would buy multiple copies, what with the single save file and the local multiplayer and all.

Jul 9th 2009 12:48AM (Joystiq Nintendo)For those curious, from left to right: Paladin, Thief, Cleric/Priest, Mage, and Warrior. The first one is an advanced class, the other four are basic. Advanced classes are unlocked through quests rather than leveling up as a certain basic class.
The other classes not seen here are Rangers, Battlemasters, Fighters, Jesters, and Magic Knights. Fighters and Jesters are basic classes, the rest are advanced.
There also appears to be two more advanced classes not yet fully revealed, one of which appears to be Sage, and the other looks like some type of Dancer.

Japanese hardware sales, June 8 - June 14: Father figure edition
Jun 22nd 2009 2:01AM (Joystiq)The Wii will crush everything in Japan on the week that Dragon Quest X is released, and it's a guarantee. Hell, Dragon Quest IX is on it's way to do that on the DS in about a month.
