Dark Souls continues the prologue in ghastly poetic verse

Sep 2nd 2011 10:40AM (Joystiq)
@LeonX84 Hopefully they won't have any bosses and ridiculously easy as the Dragon God. I want the same scale of a boss, but I also want a challenge. It was the only boss "fight" in the game I felt was just poorly designed.

Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary trades avatar armor for pre-order

So where are we suppose to pre-order the game to get these extras? You kind of forgot to mention that Justin. I'll go ahead and stick with Amazon for now. But if you could let us know, I'm sure more than just me would appreciate it.

Mortal Kombat trailer makes it Rain

@vidguy I know Engadget got a new head who has been wanting to change a lot, but I'm not sure if they are also messing around with Joystiq as well. As you can see with Engadget,4-5 of their good writers left within the past few months which I can only attribute to the change in management. I don't pay as much attention to the actual writers on Joystiq so I'm not sure if the same thing has happened here.

I've been reading Joystiq for roughly 5-6 years as well and I completely agree with your observation. I'm hoping they, as you said, right the ship because this type of writing is going to put them under in the long run.

If this type of writing keeps up I'll end up switching to... someone. I'm really not sure who yet. Or I may just get a few friends together and make a site of our own, haha. Until then I'll read Joystiq and hope for the best.

Mortal Kombat trailer makes it Rain

I could understand clever quip about his masculinity but the entire post was just a bash on a new character. You had to realize you were going offend some of the "hardcore" Kombatants and not only them but I'm sure NetherRealm Studios doesn't appreciate a major site for video game news bashing their newest DLC unwarranted.

I'm not offended by the Rain bashing. I'm just disappointed to see Joystiq editors allowed this post to even see the light of day. Blatant bashing of a product no matter how bad, or in this case good, is always going to result in pissed off readers. Which are how you guys make your money.

I've never had a problem with any post I've read before this, but I hope to not see any similar. This single post will not make me quit reading your site, but will most likely make any post written by Richard Mitchell be unseen by these eyes. Hopefully you've seen how ignorant publishing this post was and will use that knowledge toward future posting/editing.

Street Fighter 3: Third Strike Online Edition preview: Fight in the future

@Vcize I personally thought the video was a bit obnoxious with all the flashing text. It seemed as though a high schooler made this video. It could have been made much better by just nixing the text flashing. Or flash text that is related to the game and not the song I'm already hearing the words to. lol

Flash things like PSN & XBLA, Online Multiplayer, Revamped Graphics, etc.. Anyway, this video isn't going to deter me from buying one of my most highly anticipated games for XBLA so maybe I'll see you on there. :D

Joyswag: Dreamcast Collection, soundtrack vinyl and 'Still Thinking' hoodie

One of my favorite and most memorable games from my childhood was James Pond 2: Codename RoboCod on the SEGA Genesis. This game was wacky platforming at it's best. With 50 levels there was more than enough content to keep my 10 year old mind addicted. The game started off easy enough with some easy jumping levels and fairly passive enemies, but quickly sped things up with more aggressive and menacing enemies that would thwart you at all costs. I can say out of all the hours I ever played this game that I only beat it once, and that was one of the greatest feelings of all time.
