Having played both the PC and PS3 versions of the demo, I'd say the PS3 version is definitely the step child here, especially UI-wise. The equipment menu in the PC version has context menus, even! That's a pretty PC-centric UI, imho.
Damn, I really like those voices, too. I suffer from as-long-as-it's-british-it-sounds-awesome-itis. I feel like that's a pretty standard affliction in this country. I think it'd work fine here :P.
@SoCoolCurt oof! That does suck, then :(. I really dislike how much phone providers are managing to screw up the non-Apple phone platforms. Hopefully this "exclusivity" is no more stringent than what we see in the current console generation.
Regardless, though, I really wish these new platforms would have the balls to go the Apple route and just say "screw you" to these kind of requests. "You are just an orifice" is my favorite Steve Jobs quote in that category.
I just don't get how Auron could not be on the list. He was clearly the most badass character in FFX. I don't really care about playing as some girly blitz ball player.
Sake-swigging samurai warrior with a foot wide sword or a guy that throws a ball at his opponent for a limit break? Hmmmm.
Most of the Valve game trailers have a lot of motion blur in them, actually. Just check out some of the TF2 gameplay trailers. I bet web video-izing the gameplay footage exaggerates the effect a bit, too.
I turn off motion blur in most games I play because it slows things down for me and makes things slightly less playable, even if my fps doesn't dip.
Been excited for this one since it was announced shortly after the release of HL2. It looked great then and it looks better now. The quality of the trailer really pumps my faith that they'll be able to get me as involved in the game world as I've come to expect in the years since HL1.
