I don't get it. Both east and west are full of clones and technical problems. Why, exactly, are the Japanese being seen as behind when every problem they supposedly have is mirrored everywhere else?

However, I agree that TGS was awful, though mostly because barely anything of interest that we didn't already know about was shown.
