yup, good job THQ, lay off people from 2 of the 3 studios that make the only games that are worth buying from you. Warhammer and Relic seem to be the only things keeping THQ afloat at this point.

funny, these sentences (excluding the 360 part) could be said when comparing MK and ANY recent capcom fighting game, from this online functionality, to DLC, to releasing new versions, etc.

there are TONS of other games that offer multiplayer DLC that avoid having to release a new version. Sure, they arent fighting games, but they still figured out how to do it. off hand, CoD doesnt cripple its multiplayer or release a new disc every 3 months when they release new maps. They patch in the compatibility through a whole game patch, not a separate download. That was MKs problem. the compatibility packs should have been required patches to the game instead of something people had to download separately

i thought the point of the steam interface on PS3 was that they could push updates through that and didnt have to go through sony? didnt they do that with Portal 2? (i know the DLC went through Sony, but i thought they did background patches through that steam interface)

so then maybe the initial rumors were taken the wrong way. maybe it was meant more like "this is concept art from a cancelled VERSION of Doom 4", as in before they decided on final stuff this concept art was made and then not used

i mean, its not really that odd there wasnt an HD collection. We've already had 3 & 1/2 new Ratchet games on the PS3, whereas with most other HD collections, that series hasnt been made for this generation yet (Halo and god of war being exceptions).

That being said, i will get this anyway!

im also guessing all the rewards would only be for the 360 and PC versions anyway

did you guys really expect anything different than what happened with the PSP GO? that was still a PSP and they couldnt figure out how to get people to transfer their UMD purchases to that.
