Nintendo, EA, Sony sponsor Internet censorship bill [update]

Nov 18th 2011 1:42PM (Joystiq)
@seaban And since when have Dell, Zippo, etc made games? This is flat out about censorship of anything a company doesn't like (Like, oh, criticism and bad reviews), not piracy.

Gameforge lays off 100, Star Trek: Infinite Space looking shaky

@Cafecito This *is* the 'other Star Trek game', compared to STO..

@(Unverified) Oh, yeah. They *still* have that problem with Logitech Dual Action gamepads...

@Furdinand True--but the valid complaints like the currency cap being *too* tight even for Premiums, and the bald fact that the game-mail restrictions mean that free-players aren't allowed to actually collect a lot of mission and milestone rewards get declared 'whining' by those same people.

DCUO registers 120,000 new players, sees concurrent user spike [Updated]

@(Unverified) I'd be glad if there wasn't, myself, since while CoX and CO are similar (for some obvious reasons) games, DCUO is a very different one--it's more of an action shooter (I tend to think of it being like Ratchet&Clank, but with free-flight). Comparisons would pretty much end at 'It's a superhero game where you gain additional abilities as you progress'.

Free for All: The real damage of botting, in the words of a botter

Nov 2nd 2011 4:24PM (Massively)
@Ceridith Here's a question for you--where's the border between complex macros and bots? Heck, given certain defintions of botting, you could make a case that the *built in crafting system* for Rift is 'botting' of a sort, since I can load up a stack of materials, set my amount, and then go take a nap, grab lunch, read a book (or as I usually did, alt-tab to read webcomics or something) while it runs.

Behind the Mask: Practical indestructibility

Hmm, that's nice. So what archetype has this build on it, again?

Green Lantern Extended Cut Blu-Ray combo pack to include Batman: Arkham City Sinestro Corps skin [update]

Oct 12th 2011 6:40PM (Joystiq)
Hmm. I have no interest in live-action GL, and not that much for Arkham City (I'm trying to figure out what the deal is with that title--it's *Gotham* City, which contains the site of the first game, Arkham Asylum) especially as I haven't gotten around to playing through Asylum yet anyway (yay Steam Sales). I *am* wondering, though, if DCUO is going to provide a similar suit design for their game, given the GL expansion they did.

@butcher13 And...what does that have to do anything? Those outtakes aren't recorded on the CD you purchase in the first place.

Transformers: Fall of Cybertron coming from High Moon, has a transforming dino

Oct 6th 2011 8:46PM (Joystiq)
@PN04 Indeed...and in the IDW prequels, Dinobot was on Cybertron...but he was a tank-thing, not a dino.
