The 3DS being region locked is terrible, and this is an example why. I got Rocket Slime on the DS during a trip to the US back in 2006, and I loved it. It never got released in Europe, and chances are neither will this. Will be very let down if I can't play this.
This reminds me of a conversation I had with Dhani Harrison back at a wedding in the summer (he is a close friend of the groom). I asked him about the then upcoming Rock Band 3, to which he said that it was pretty much done, and continued to talk about the next project called "Rock Band: NF" which he said stood for "New Frontiers", which he said would change the formula around a bit. When I asked what would be so new about it, he replied "that's what we're trying to figure out". This was pretty late on and he was thoroughly drunk at this point, if you're wondering why he would give away this information.
This is perfectly legit btw, I have no reason to lie. I also asked him if there was anymore DLC coming for Beatles RB, and he said that he didn't know at that point, but hoped their would be more. I then said that I would love Revolver to go on there, to which he said that he was pushing for Revolver to be DLC from the start.
Add Sonic Adventure, Sonic Adventure 2, Shenmue, Chu Chu Rocket, Power Stone, Space Channel 5, Ikaruga, Skies of Arcadia, Phantasy Star Online, Resident Evil: Code Veronica, Samba de Amigo, and Virtua Tennis to that list.
Oh, and the best ports of Quake 3 and Marvel vs. Capcom 2. And it was the first truly online system, way ahead of its time. For its timespan, the Dreamcast was an awesome system.
Guys, please stop freaking out thinking it will cost $270, because it won't. All the article is saying is that $270 is the equivalent to €200. You lucky US citizens always get things cheaper than us Europeans. For example, when you guys were freaking out that the PS3 cost $599, we had to pay £425, which was then the equivalent of $850. The 3DS will not cost $270.
