I really, really hope this game has a "pushback" button like Left 4 Dead. I've come to feel that any kind of FPS that features a large number of melee-based mobs all attacking at once needs a way to get them away for a couple seconds. I tried playing Killing Floor and the lack of puchback just ruined it for me...
1) My druid has full neough bags now without having to carry around gear for whole other class.
2) Zul'jin rehacks off his own arm every Monday morning in a misguided attempt to fuel his own rage and shame the elves. During the six days in between, he has a slowly growing baby arm flapping around under his shirt.
Question: In my recollection of WoW's hundreds of NPCs, I feel like almost all of the dragons I've met were in Blood Elf, Night Elf, Gnome or Human form, with a strong predilection towards Blood Elf. Is there any lore behind why we never (that I can recall at least) see dragons as Tauren, Troll, Orc, Goblin, Draenei, etc... or is it merely an aesthetic choice on Blizzard's part?
I agree that a lot of boss mechanics have become trivial, which makes running Utgarde Keep all the more confusing to me. People basically ignore things like Loken's nova or Garfrost's stacking frost debuff, yet they still hide behind pillars like frightened schoolgirls when Ingvar does his transition roar.
Honestly, what is so scary about a move that hits for something like 5k? Someone is going to say it's avoiding the silence, but as a caster I've never experienced a problem standing in it. I deliberately stand in it when I'm in H UK to say, "NO INGVAR, YOU WILL NOT SCARE ME WITH YOUR PIDDLY ROAR."
Haha! Water levels have been the source of some pretty inspired game music. Upon seeing that picture, the music from the underwater levels of Donkey Kong Country on the SNES started playing in my head. I hope the music is appropriately Cousteau-y (or Zissou-y).
You should do an article on the Luffa someday. I remember it was a relatively uninteresting quest reward from some level 50 quest that all raiders were suddenly required to have to "properly" kill Moroes. Of course, Blizzard nerfed it when they suddenly had millions of players asking to have the damn thing undeleted.
