THQ's summer sale dropping 75% off select PC titles

God damnit. This offer isn't available to Canadians, because when I try to buy anything on sale, they tell me it's not available to my current billing address and take it out of my cart. =(

Fine, don't take my money. I don't care.

Digital Foundry: 360 version of Final Fantasy XIII 'adequate but a touch disappointing'

Mar 7th 2010 10:23AM (Joystiq)
@Foetoid: If you think the human eye can't distinguish a frame rate higher than 30FPS, you'd be incorrect. The brain doesn't see in 'frames', so its hard to tell exactly how many frames the brain can distinguish per second. But as the FPS goes up, motion does become more fluid. Just compare fast moving action between a 30FPS and a 60FPS cap and you'll see what I mean. Some individuals can even distinguish fine motion in frame rates at over 120FPS.

Leaked Duke Nukem footage tugs at familiar heartstrings

Feb 3rd 2010 4:29PM (Joystiq)
People are sure harsh to judge a game based on a minute and a half of footage, and which was never released. We don't even know at what point in the game's recycle this came from-- was it the 29th iteration, or the 36th? I'm point towards a later one anyway; the graphics look reasonable.

Great, it won't be long before we start seeing Dianetics and the Qur'an on there. I knew Xbox Live was missing something that I quite couldn't put my finger on, and I know! People's crazy beliefs!

I'm glad they're not pulling levels that dive into other IPs. It makes Mm extra awesome. Unlike Activision and their guitar hero song editor.
