TUAW Review: Carcassonne finally, gloriously comes to the iPhone
Jun 5th 2010 3:29PM (TUAW.com)Mercedes-Benz to use iPad as a sales tool
Jun 3rd 2010 6:31PM (TUAW.com)Yeah, I know, people sometimes destroy what doesn't belong to them. But I was thinking more along the lines of having a good faith attitude where people took care of stuff that was loaned to them.
Could also be good for Realtors. If someone is shopping for a new home, a Realtor could whip out the iPad and show them what else is in the area. Give a virtual tour of the houses up for sale. Show what is in the surrounding area on the map in relation to the house, such as schools, transportation, shopping, and show the route from the house to the home buyers job.
While the iPad would never take the place of actually touring a house. It could save lots of time for the buyer as well as the Realtor. If something looks interesting then they can have a look. If not then they can pass or put it on the back burner. Maybe even if it is something that the buyer may be interested in, they can make a note in the program that will remind them that the buyer may be interested and the program could remind them later about that interest.
Found Footage: The iPad Comic
Jun 3rd 2010 6:17PM (TUAW.com)Either way, pretty impressive. If only because you have to have your timing down or everything is screwed. Then would come the long walk of shame off the stage.
Barnes & Noble releases eReader app for iPad
May 27th 2010 1:00PM (TUAW.com)Apple relents, allows cash for iPads
May 20th 2010 12:49AM (TUAW.com)Hmm, I know the guy was wearing an Apple t-shirt. I'll need to see if anyone fits that description the next time I walk by the Apple store...
But honestly. If there is a market that will support "the hot item" being sold for twice the retail price, then so be it. While I never even thought of putting my iPad on Ebay. And would never think of paying more then retail price for anything up to the present. That doesn't mean that nobody should not have the privilege of paying out the nose for something.
As for not seeing the person that sold you the item again. Pretty much the only sales person that I've kept in touch with after a sale has been my realtor. Oh, and some guy as Lowes that sold me a generator one year would say hi when I stopped in the store.
AT&T Wireless CEO not worried if Verizon gets the iPhone
May 19th 2010 8:58PM (TUAW.com)Yep, sounds like a plan to me...
AT&T Wireless CEO not worried if Verizon gets the iPhone
May 19th 2010 8:34PM (TUAW.com)I know when I was tired of the poor sound quality and dropped calls, I just left. The hell with the ETF. I picked up a Moto Droid and I've not looked back. In the 8 months that I've been with Verizon I've had one dropped call. ONE. (I would be lucky to get through one CALL per week without it dropping on the iPhone).
Not sure what happened since it seemed like the entire tower was shut down for a few minutes.
Now don't get me wrong. I really liked the iPhone. So much that if it did come to Verizon it would be very tempting to get one. But since I have an iPad and tethering on the Droid I pretty much have all my bases covered already (even if the iPad solution isn't very portable pocket wise).

TUAW's tips for gifting an iPad for Mother's Day
May 8th 2010 7:41PM (TUAW.com)I walked in and picked one up. Well, actually I walked in the day before to try one and convince myself that I didn't want one. I did a horrible job. But I guess because it was so late in the day I wasn't able to take one home with me (I came prepared to purchase either the 16 or 32GB model).
Next morning I decided to give them a call to find out when they were expecting some in again. I was told that they had 16GB models in, but they couldn't hold one for me and they couldn't tell me how many they had. I took a trip down to the Apple store and was told that "normally we don't mention what we have in stock. But I can tell you that you did pick up the last one".
I went back a few days later to buy a cover for it.
The iPad makes a pretty good skateboard, too
