Max Payne 3 screens bring back bald Max

So - and forgive me if I'm stating the obvious - we're going to have lots of flashbacks?

Rumor: 'Multiple sources' claim new Nintendo console reveal at or before E3 [update]

Apr 14th 2011 3:41PM (Joystiq)
Isn't this kind of obvious, though? Their consoles have followed the five year timeframe since the SNES. Their next console will be out on November in Japan and it'll sport graphics superior to that of either competition.

Wii Play: Motion announced for June 13, Ocarina of Time 3D follows on June 19

Woo! Now give us a UK release date, Ninty! :D

The 3rd Birthday review: New year's Eve

Apr 7th 2011 4:31PM (Joystiq)
@Billlop Well that's something, 'cause I've played it too and I'd give it at least a four. The "very negative" review didn't even touch upon the DNA System or the startling variety of weapons (everything from handguns to grenade launchers and satellite guns to Lightning's Blazefire weapon) that, in turn, have many different customisation options. It only vaguely mentioned the helicopters you can Overdive into in later levels, too.

It's actually quite fun, even with the repetitive levels and sometimes-absurd health of enemies. I'd say, aside from those two shortcomings, the only real problem with the game is the convoluted story that I still don't entirely understand.

Rovio's Vesterbacka defends mobile games, calls out Nintendo's '$49 pieces of plastic'

Mar 30th 2011 3:36PM (Joystiq)
All I can say to the guy is "u jelly?"

Nintendo can sell $50 pieces of plastic because they make games that are actually worth that price. Rovio makes games that cost as much as a chocolate bar and are about as long-lasting in enjoyment, too. I bet the guys at Rovio wish they had a tenth of the creativity that Miyamoto has. If they did, they'd be many more times more creative than they are now.

That looks... So boring. D:

UK government may close online shopping tax loophole

Mar 24th 2011 9:43AM (Joystiq)
This is completely unfair. Play.com and Amazon are highly visited websites that lots of people buy their games from because of how much cheaper things are. It's only because of those websites that the 3DS isn't being sold for £230 any more! If anything, they promote sales and all these damn fools are doing is giving us less reasons to spend money.

Why the hell should we pay nearly 1.5x the price Americans do for the same games in the first place? Ugh...

Counting Angry Birds before they hatch: dev talks US IPO, analysts need track record

Mar 22nd 2011 9:46AM (Joystiq)
I'm glad people are finally realising how much of a fad Angry Birds is. It's not even a decent game and most of their "sales" are from people sitting on the loo bored. If they actually think even a tenth of their userbase is actually interested in Angry Birds, they're sorely overoptimistic - I still haven't beaten the first world and have no intention of ever playing it again. Too busy with real games, like P3P and Radiant Historia.

Pokemon Black and White capture top UK sales spots

Yes, well, um... I guess we never will recover from Pokéfever. :P

Steam Guard gets the ultimate test: Gabe Newell makes his password public

Mar 4th 2011 5:12PM (Joystiq)
Oh come on, does anyone really think this is his actual Steam account? Why would he even need one in the first place? It's more'n likely completely empty, save for a couple of games that everyone already has anyway.
