Dell shows off Android 2.1 running on the Streak, still planning to make it to Froyo

Jul 27th 2010 12:49PM (Engadget)
Seeing how well Dell supported their other mobile devices (not) like the Axim it would be difficult to considering buying this device, as cool as it looks.
Shame really.

Natasha Wicks, Newest UFC Octagon Girl, Talks Newfound Fame

Aug 26th 2009 1:07PM (MMA Fighting)
Great article, seems like she's pretty down to earth. I presume Edith moved on because there were rumors she wasn't very approachable by fans, hopefully Natasha is. I sort of hope the UFC will relax their issues with the 'big hair', I think it made her stand out from the other ring girls.

Viva Pinata more like Muerte Pinata [update 1]

Aug 24th 2006 1:58PM (Joystiq)
the demo stations were setup not to allow disk writes for caches/autosaves but the version displayed was still trying to do the writes, so it was timing out all the time, making the game chug down to an unplayable mess. Even during the press conference, which was very embarassing...

Xbox 360 can't run DirectX 10, confirms ATI

Aug 24th 2006 12:26PM (Joystiq)
This is irrelevant anyway, it took developers how long to start supporting SM2.0 and it's been "availiable" for what? 5 years now..

Non-issue. The amount of games focusing directly on DX10 ONLY over the next 5 years will be minimal.

The unofficial Xbox Live Arcade sales chart, and other useless facts

Jul 25th 2006 2:52PM (Joystiq)
"That's one thing about arcade and demo's that quirks me is it counts it towards your gamerpoints score even though you haven't played the full game."

Sorry but you're definately mistaken. No free demo or trial give away gamerscore points.

How much would you spend on a PS3 game?

Jun 28th 2006 4:52PM (Joystiq)
total over 5 years - $5699.00
that is assuming you can find 20 titles per year on the PC worth actually buying (since most of the good titles now come out on the consoles first or only)
This also assumes that all PC games are the same price and where I live many of the PC titles are the same price or only slightly cheaper than 360 titles.

How Nintendo could lead in home console market share

Jun 15th 2006 11:20AM (Joystiq)
"They had 27 playable games at E3. Here is a list of confirmed games comming to the Wii:
http://gonintendo.com/?p=3099
Take a look at the number of third party developers on that PARTIAL list."

that list is bad, really bad. well I guess if you're not Japanese it's bad.
Really, if Nintendo ever wants to dig its way out of 3rd place they are going to have to get a lot more friendly with 3rd party developers. And not ones that say "We are very interested in the Wii!" and then go on "we're taking a wait and see attitude until 2008".

How Nintendo could lead in home console market share

Jun 15th 2006 9:51AM (Joystiq)
Nintendo will gain marketshare (the actual important part of sales, not the money gained/lost from selling their unit) this round.

They will still SERIOUSLY suffer from lack of 3rd party support and again the Wii will be the Mario iteration #1928 and Zelda version #3282 machine with very little new in regards to innovative and interesting titles.

Overheard at E3: fanboy disillusionment

May 11th 2006 12:38PM (Joystiq)
How dare you write anything negative about the Wii or Nintendo in general! If I wanted to hear about reality I would turn on CNN and watch the news.
In the future I would prefer Joystiq sugar coat all Nintendo news and not tell me the truth and most certainly not tell me their opinion because unless it's positive for Nintendo I do *NOT* want to hear about it.
Because some of the other sites that earn their revenue from advertising from companies like Nintendo are having a fantastic time are and totally unbiased I feel that Joystiq is unfairly criticizing the Wii because they too want advertising dollars.
Please, in the future post only positive Nintendo news.
