Leaving out options for taking cover puzzles me. That was always such a huge element to Warhammer games, whether it was tabletop or RTS, and NOT including it seems like taking the FPS genre a step back.
"Relic producer Raphael Van Lierop said that Warhammer's Space Marines aren't the kinds of soldiers who hide behind rocks."
Umm... really? 'Cause every single Warhammer game I've ever played implemented some sort of cover system: rocks, abandoned buildings, a friggin' crater in the ground.
So far, I'm not impressed. I'll wait for reviews on this one.
I played the previous two installments of Deus Ex and, while the first one was better than the second IMO, they were both great games. I really enjoyed the branching story line, the outstanding level design as well as the RPG and FPS aspects. Deus Ex is a very good IP. I hope the next game does justice to this worthy series.
What can I say? You're right. I hate typos! If I had to give "two words" for the original Two Worlds I would say, "Don't buy!" However, as others have stated, the sequel is not even out yet and I do think that the game should be given a fair chance before I pour my derision over it. It's possible that the dev's learned from their mistakes from the first title and made a better game for the sequel. I hope that they did, but after getting burned on the first one, I'm not exactly waiting with baited breath for the second one. We shall see.
It WAS good. I highly recommend it. If you like any of the other fantasy RPGs on my list... I think you'd like the Witcher. Definitely worth it. Great storyline and a lot of fun.
@Deschain Yeah, you're absolutely right! What blasphemy! I also forgot to mention "The Witcher" which was one of the best new IPs I've played in a while. Really loved the whole potion-crafting element of that game.
I've played quite a few good fantasy and sci-fi-themed RPGs in my day (Daggerfall, Morrowind, Oblivion, Baldur's Gate, Fallout, KOTOR, Neverwinter Nights, Dragon Age, etc.) and Two Words was BY FAR the worst gaming experience I've ever had in my life. IMO, these producers have some real nerve to produce a sequel to that steaming PoS.
