The internet kill switch and other lies the internet told you

Jun 24th 2010 9:55PM (Engadget)
@MoonWalkerCTE: Nepal has it, and it was used once by the now deposed King during the revolution. The state runs the main telecom and has it's finger on the button. China has it too obviously. No surprises here in Asia:)

Apple responds to iPhone 4 reception issues: you're holding the phone the wrong way

Jun 24th 2010 9:36PM (Engadget)
i have never seen an iphone in the wild without a case, so i can't see this as an issue, but i do agree a bumper should be included in the package now.

Altec Lansing serves up angular Octiv Mini iPod / iPhone sound system

Jun 22nd 2010 12:32AM (Engadget)
Does it look like that iPhone has a case on it? I am looking for a sound dock that allows just for this. And I don't agree with the flippant tone here, I do not have a sound dock for my iPhone or iPod, and most of my friends don't either...so what's that all about?

Steve Jobs: iPhone OS 'started on a tablet'

Jun 1st 2010 11:00PM (Engadget)
I agree with others that Endgadget needs to relook at it's editorial style. One photo and a paragraph does a news story not make. Please give us better reporting instead of soundbites best left for headlines but passing off as an article. thx!

Banned PSN player sues Nintendo and Microsoft

I think he should have tried workplace discrimination, and claimed that he was cut off from a social network (based on [pick one] gender, species, religion, etc.). I am surprised this has not happened yet, as I know many sad fools who "go to the factory" to make "money," socialize, and live their entire lives in virtual worlds. There has to be some law and order there too!

Jobs to dev on app name change: "Not that big of a deal."

Nov 20th 2009 9:38AM (TUAW.com)
Is Mike Schramm also a defense attorney for pedophiles? Sounds like a similar defense. Steve Jobs may be successful as a money maker, but as a human being I would not give him high marks. The hostile policy that bites the hands that feeds his machine (app developers) is just unjust, no matter how much money it makes him. But I'm glad, as with other corps, the employees don't always follow the CEO's lead. I've met many nice reasonable people at Apple, and that's pretty much why I do business with them.

Apple wins copyright infringement case against Psystar in California

Nov 14th 2009 11:08PM (Engadget)
Wonder how this will play out with http://www.expresshd.com/pages.php?pID=17&CDpath=5 or is this another fictitious company like Fakestar, as described on /.

Optoma's screen-in-a-bag actually makes a lot of sense

Nov 12th 2009 2:12AM (Engadget)
I guess if the bag was as large as an artists portfolio, then this would make sense. I suspect that even a netbook screen would be nicer to look at then the inside of this particular bag.

Latest Mac OS X 10.6.2 beta build brings back Atom support

Nov 4th 2009 9:55PM (Engadget)
