Been playing the game for nearly a week, and all I can say is I can't believe how much fun it is! You can unlock cars that feel so much better than the one in the demo. You will find a car that suits your style, though I can't speak for the PC version's controls.
I am getting this day one! I just don't understand why people think it will grow old fast? Sure you can memorize every track ... Isn't that every game? You can memorize where the "good" weapons are in an FPS, not to mention all the cheap hiding places. If you found good people to play this with, it will be as fun as any other multiplayer game.
Sure rubber-banding sucks, but I'm not buying a game so I can pull ahead to NOT see anything explode. Multi player is where it's at anyways, and there will be none of that rubber-banding nonsense there.
The standard Racing Mode was sufficient. The Survival Mode was an added bonus. This is just too much awesome! My own head will blow up if they work in any more explosions!
Wow, this is madness. I just moved into a new place last week so I haven't gotten the internet up yet. Here is what happened ...
I have a 60 GB Model that I've had for 2 years (give or take.) I HAVE NOT been online for the past week. I've played Heavy Rain and all PSN games just fine all weekend. I tried to play Heavy Rain last night and I received the error that everyone else is. So this is in NO way a hack as I have not been online for awhile. I came to my parent's house to try and connect to see if maybe signing on would resolve the issue. No dice, as I couldn't even log on.
I was about to reformat my HD when I stumbled upon this article. Sadly I had already done a quick reformat and lost everything I had on there anyways. I think most of my Trophies are safe since I synced them before the move.
I noticed though that the date was wrong as many people have mentioned here. So I changed the clock manually, and booted up Heavy Rain. It let me update the game ( I had been playing it without the update ...) I triedAfter that I got the same error when the clock change occurred.
To recap:
- PSN games were either corrupted, or reverted back to a demo state. - Dynamic Themes (only Dynamic Themes) were corrupted. - A disc game that I tried wouldn't work. Trophies for that game vanished from my list. - Strangely flOw worked fine, though I doubt I could earn Trophies for it.
As many people mentioned before, it HAS to have something to do with the Time/Date on some of the older consoles.
