Mar 31st 2006 8:41PM (Joystiq)Thats not going to happen b/c there are politicians and news organizations like CNN dumb enough to actually listen and agree with the guy...plus not everything goes away if you ignore it.

Mar 31st 2006 7:00PM (Joystiq)"And Sudoku, which i'd never played before i got the game, has just consumed me."
Same with me...in fact I had never even heard about the game until seeing a display for it at the store, Linens N Things.
I borrowed a copy from a friend and for the short time I had it, I couldn't put the game down. I can't wait for this to come out...I'm gonna have to have my parents try it out as well.
Sony trounces MSFT & Nintendo in brand trust survey [update 1]
Mar 31st 2006 6:57PM (Joystiq)That is a small isolated situation though...plus there are so many flavors of Linux it will confuse people. With Windows XP there are only 2 choices for them (Home and Pro) but Home is more then enough for the average user not doing complicated home networking. PLUS with Linux you don't have the software support like Windows (games, office productivity, desktop publishing, etc.)
Until Linux is somehow able to be as user friendly as Widnows with the broad software and hardware support, it will continue to be a niche OS. Plain and simple.

Mar 31st 2006 2:21PM (Joystiq)They won't need to. In Japan when the game was still a WIP, they gave copies to Nintendo employees to take home and have their parents, friends and others who normally wouldn't buy a DS or play games.
The outcome? The Brain Training series has been selling like crazy among adults over there. I forsee something similar happening elsewhere in the states.

Mar 30th 2006 7:26PM (Joystiq)You hit it right on the money with that statement and this is something that all hardcore gamers in general are forgetting too. A lot of them (no offense to anyone) have no life and just play games and would rather developers focus on them instead of trying to draw in the "average joe."
Advent Children on silver screen for one night only
Mar 30th 2006 5:19PM (Joystiq)I saw Star Wars Episode 3 there and MAN that is an ice theater. It is a tad on the pricey side but considering that there is no bad seat (even in the front row which is where I sat) I would def. go again.
Only problem is that I have to work (I work in Costa Mesa in Orange County) and you have to be there at noon for tickets. Oh well...I'll just buy the DVD when is FINALLY comes out in April.
