After playing both of Cryptics games I'm convinced that they just don't make good games. they don't seem to put all the heart in it at the start and want to make you pay for or wait for the bulk of the content. they release the bare bones game and addon the rest later when people are already mad so it may be too late. I think in the next oh six months maybe that both CO and STO will be good but for now they aren't...
This is an excellent article, got the community down right. It's the only game where I ask "Can someone help me grind this quest?" and the answer isn't "I'll help grind your mother lulz!" The gameplay and graphics are some of the best of any MMO and the stability and dedicated company (turbine) make it the best imo.
I agree with the planets one, but there are so many asteroids that I think the bounce thing is the right idea because if I blew up after hitting every asteroid I have so far it would be very irritating. There are obviously better and cooler things they could like maybe crashing through it and it hurting your shields
I have a fairly short history with MMOs, I just started playing them last summer and the longest I've played one is Warhammer for three months straight. Ever since then I've been jumping around WoW, WAR, Lotro, and STO.
I'm playing Star Trek Online that I got on thursday and I'm really liking it so far. It feels fresh being in a Sci-fy type game instead of elves and swords it's vulcans and phasers. This could be the first MMO sinch Warhammer last summer to keep my interest for longer than one month in a row.
