Well I guess Nintendo has sealed my purchase. My girlfriend went to pre-order my PS3 yesterday and 30 mins after the store opened she walked in and they were sold out. She called every store in phoenix one had 3 left she rushed over by the time they got there it was sold out too. .... Not that I wanted to keep it anyways I was hoping for a quick couple thousand on an Ebay sale. But I will be keepin the Wii... Eventually I'll get a PS3 maybe after Christmas. When I get my tax return or something.
Me and my girlfriend played the demo at Comicon it was pretty fun. Although there was no dragon riding sequences. It didn't feel too much like PDO. Totally differen't style of graphics I felt. It might be a fun game 2 player Co-Op although we got stuck a couple times in the demo saying "ok so how do we get past this part??" and I really hate it when games don't give you any indication on what your supposed to be doing next.
I have really always thought Nintendo should really hit the Female market hard. Me and my 3 closest friends all bought DS's but we almost never get a chance to play them due to our significant others. I think women really like the multitasking prospect while they might see sitting down playing a console as a waste of time. My girlfriend (who will fairly occasionally play console games with me) will do the laundry, make dinner, watch TV, and clean all with stylus and stylin DS lite in hand. I've heard the same is true for my friends.
Just a thought Nintendo... and Sony (maybe it'd revitalize your PSP sales if you targetted the female gender)
I never had a problem with any shoulder buttons left or right until the 360... Now I can remember the triggers but I always seem to forget there is also a shoulder button. Not that I have a trouble pressing them per say... just trouble remembering additional buttons in a different position from the trigger buttons...
Street Fighter II on SNES fixed any issues I might have ever head using my left trigger finger. (Thanks Capcom)
I wonder if he goes out to bars, watches movies, watches plays, or just about anything else a normal human does for fun (reads a book?). All of those I would say are escapes from reality. Some might even argue going to Church is an escape from reality. If the 70s era of drugs didn't churn out a society of whimps with their pot smokers... oh wait strike that point from my list of points buncha whimpy hippies!
Anyway, I don't think video games are anymore of an escape than say a book or a movie and people have been reading books since the alphabet was invented.
Angelina NOT lara croft, has graced magazine covers and lifestyle magazines (and by lifestyle what do they mean Maxim? Of COURSE the busty video game Icon of Eidos is gonna be bigger in that publication than a short hairy plumber. haha)
If you look worldwide I'd almost be willing to put money that remote places such as in remote China have kids playing Nintendo and MARIO and don't even know what a Lara Croft is.
That's it exactly! The Wii is going to make adults want to play with Nintendo's grand marketing scheme. Being able to make crude jokes in front of your kids "Timmy go play with your wii" is definatly putting me on line launch day.
Or maybe showing Diehard nintendo fanboys flopping around like an Albatros trying to give flight with the Wii controllers will move it into the mainstream light.
Sure am glad Nintendo are supporting the fight to lose the mainstream stigmatism associated with games like DDR that conjurs up images of coach potatoes slathered up in sweat.... Thanks guys...
Haha I sure can't wait to get my hands on my Wii, see ya guys on launch day :) Who cares what the main stream thinks?
