Banned PSN player sues Nintendo and Microsoft
Nov 24th 2009 12:09AM (Joystiq)Unless you're a radical Christian, in which case you believe you have the divine right to trample on the rights of others without consequence for "the glory of God".

Aug 7th 2009 2:58PM (Joystiq)I don't know where you got the misconception that BBY marks down the small stuff, but let me give you a couple of examples of the contrary.
Working at BBY, employees receive an employee discount of 5% over cost on most items in the store. This is usually only useful on accessories or peripherals, as items like media and high-ticket items are often sold at or near cost anyway.
1.) Dynex (BBY Generic Brand) 6' USB 2.0 Perpheral Cable...Retail $38.99 EMPL $2.80
2,) Dynex 50 pack DVD+R...RET $19.99 EMPL $9.72
3.) Dynex 48 count AA Batteries...RET $16.99 EMPL $5.80
Best Buy makes its biggest profits off of its Dynex, Insignia, Geek Squad, inIT, and RocketFish brands. That's why every blueshirt and black/tanshirt tacks tons of accessories onto your purchase. The margins on all the private label products are HUGE.

The provisions and subsequent modifications to the DMCA can be found here or among the links at the bottom of the entry.
The concept of ownership seems to be painfully flawed among the posters here. You buy a house, yes, it's yours, but you can't just add a waterslide, or a drawbridge (BAM?) without permits or zoning variances. Just because it's yours DOES NOT, IN ANY WAY, MEAN YOU HAVE ABSOLUTE CONTROL OVER IT.

May 6th 2009 9:48PM (Engadget)Had anyone else here ever noticed that when you ask someone who bxxxxhes about phone prices being this high what carrier they have, it is often a CDMA provider? Or an iPhone dork?
These are the types of trolls who think the PHONE is a ripoff and that a CONTRACT (read: 24-month indemnity waiver that costs $200+) is somehow a better value.
Anyhow, read your damn provider's price tags to see how much your precious BB Storm REALLY costs.
Me? Fortunately, I live in Dayton, OH where I just got my Nokia 5800 XpressMusic (MSRP: $399) for $149 WITHOUT A CONTRACT. Cincinnati Bell understands how valuable freedom of choice truly is.

May 4th 2009 6:41PM (Engadget Mobile)What on earth made you think this was available in TEXAS? And that a contract was mandatory? Can you even read English?
