Playing DS on a 3DS is less than ideal

Mar 9th 2011 1:54PM (Joystiq)
Uh, this seems totally normal. The smaller image is either stretched to fit the bigger screen, or you get the original size with black bars. It's really no different than playing on a DS. It's literally no different than taping black strips around your DS screen; the image is the same.

Skyrim details begin to rain down from Game Informer

@philmcfail Morrowind was just so interesting. Giant bugs on stilt legs that carried you from city to city. Emperor-gods ruling over cities floating on water (a god whom you could kill if you were powerful enough). Werewolf prophecies. Ancient dwarven steampunk ruins. Armor made from insect carapace. Sleepy dark-elf fishing towns in backwoods swamps that doubled as a secret slave network.

Oblivion is incredibly generic compared to the world of Morrowind. Plus the ability to create your own spells was very different, if I remember correctly. I made a belt that gave me a tiny amount of "flotation" and an amulet that increased my jump strength by hundreds of points, but only for a second. I would activate the amulet, jump, and fly miles across the landscape. The whole "charge" aspect of oblivion kind of ruined that - what's the point of creating unique items if they're going to expire? I just didn't find any motivation.

I like how someone called Oblivion an "action RPG"

And both Fallout and Oblivion were absolute junk compared to Morrowind - let's hope they can make a good game this time around.
