I'm all for taking the good features that COD did really well and putting them in your own game (like your score popping up when you get kills, red dot sights, etc.) but holly crap - at least change the style around a bit to look different - this is ridiculous!

The PS+ free games are only available for a limited time but if you download a free game while it's available, you then get to keep it forever (and if you delete it for some reason, switch to a new PS3, etc., you always have the right to re-download it again for free). But, you can only play the free games while you have an active PS+ subscription.

Sad thing is that people like me will spend significantly more on a digital copy even though we don't get a physical game that we can trade or lend out just for the convenience in terms of buying it easily and not having to load a disc to play the game.

I still love sandbox games and love SR3, but I agree with your sentiment.

In SR3, first thing I did was check the map for long strip type areas that could be airports, went to the first one I saw, hoped a big security fence, jumped in a plane, flew to the top of a building, jumped off the building and parachuted down.

The sad part was that it wasn't that exciting - there was no amazement that this could be done.

If it couldn't be done, I would just have been disappointed.

It was like par for the course for a sandbox game.

San Adreas was the last sandbox game where I did things like this and was completely amazed at it.
