My condolences to all who already spent their cash but I'm stoked that I've never ever purchased a Halo title. I'm not that big of a FPS fan and just never was compelled to own a Halo title. However, when I first heard that ODST featured more steath-like/tactical game play, I began to consider taking the jump into the Halo-verse.

Now y'all tellin'' me that it's coming out at a lower-than-standard-price? And now THIS? All the DLC of 3 will be included?

I'm now || close to arranging the pre-order.

I don't think the next gen console will be released by 2012 however,I do think the next gen console will be announced/declared/displayed at trade show of choice, etc by 2012...

At least, I hope it goes that way. Considering the high costs of game development these days, consumers need to let things develop where developers are, for the most part, getting back the amount of money they've invested. This in turns allows them to stay in business and create more games down the line, yadda (x 3).

Otherwise, by rushing to the next gen, we would make it harder for developers to create solid titles. They'd be once again forced to learn new hardware. End result - we'd be fed new-hardware-based-trickery (AKA glorified tech demos) as opposed to being privy to good old fashioned solid game development that usually takes place in the latter years of a gaming console's lifespan.

Also, as the technology becomes more cost-effective to the developers and such (and/or as more copies of these solid titles are sold), the sooner the savings can be passed down to the consumer. We'd sooner be able to enjoy that brand new Platinum Hits copy of ______ for $30.

Its a win for everyone if we dont rush ourselves to nxt gen.

I rather let things get to a point that the next gen console really IS next gen and not just another consol basically doing the same thing but only pumping out a trillion more polys with 12 times the texture layering capability, featuring ___ amount of on-board RAM, and also...
