@Shadow Hog It could be because Nintendo is taking a loss for each 3DS sold. Similar to how Microsoft and Sony took a loss for each console their sold at first. But because Nintendo is taking a loss, the more they sell, the more they lose. Partly because of the rising Yen, and the dropping Dollar and Euro. As a result their financial forecast is showing a loss for the first time in decades.

Because of this, it seems like Nintendo's fortune has turned. Yes, they're selling 3DS like crazy, but it's not helping their finances at all. At least for the time being.

In the long term scope of things, this may change. The loss is to establish a strong install-base in order to gain 3rd party support, which is needed to prolong the life of the 3DS. Otherwise the 3DS won't last more than a year or so.

@Raffi256 Well, to be fair, I think the courts didn't have to address the issue with the 14th Amendment applying to the 1st Amendment until Gitlow v. New York. The courts often come up with rulings it never ruled on before.

Personally, I agree with the SCOTUS ruling that the First Amendment applies to states. However, that's based on my limited interpretation of my reading of the Constitution, and the rulings made by SCOTUS. You're interpretation could be completely different, and that's completely fine.

Also, while it is a pretty bad move, Nintendo has allowed the Mother 3 fan-translation to go on without any legal objections. Hell, the Mother 3 fan-translation team even made a strategy guide with no objections from Nintendo. So it's not like Nintendo is completely heartless. I completely forgive Nintendo for shutting down a bad fan-film, since they're allowing the fan-translation of a great game they won't publish in the US to continue.

Yeah, I've been to the Blizzard campus a month after they moved from their old office [that was across the street from where I worked]. I didn't see much, but yeah...their museum was ok. It wasn't as cool as I first thought it would be too.
