If anyone is wondering about rental details: It's the SD version only. Once a rental is downloaded you have 14 days to watch it but after the rental is watched/started once you then have only 24 hours to re-watch said rental. (but don't worry because you won't be re-watching this one)
BioWare's DLC strategy is severely lessening my interest in owning their games until more compiled GotY type packages exists.
Dragon Age DLC in particular is baffling to me because of the hours per dollars ratio gulf which exists between the massive vanilla game and the tiny DLC tidbits.
I hate to say it but between this DLC weirdness and what looks like an utter neutering of Dragon Age 2...I'm just not interested in any upcoming BioWare releases until they figure out what the hell they are doing in regards to content.
I don't sell my games so when you string along someone like me with questionable DLC releases it only makes me not buy your games at all and sours me on the titles all-together.
Bethesda got it right with Fallout 3. RPG developers should all copy their strategy. $10 for about 6-10 hours followed up by a GotY edition feels right...not this $7+ for maybe 2 hours crap.
I hate equating hours to dollars but in the age of digital distribution I need more meat on the bones or I'll simply never even take a bite.
It feels like they tried to make it both realistic and arcadey yet succeeded at neither.
For example; you move quite slowly but it isn't slow enough to be realistic and it isn't fast enough to be fun. It's just annoying.
The rest of what I've played adheres to that same philosophy of trying to ground itself in some type of realism while maintaining a bit of arcadey accessibility all the while not really nailing either.
I'd probably give it more of a chance were it not made by the America's Army people and were it not a propaganda tool first, a recruiting tool second, and a game last.
