Tim Schafer walks us through Brutal Legend's beginning
Jul 3rd 2009 12:09AM (Joystiq)Bob Marley Biopic -- No Music, No Movie
Mar 21st 2008 1:17PM (Cinematical)Anyway, to me it's a no brainer that you wouldn't want to Marley movies coming out at the same time.
I have no doubt that the Scorsese documentary will be far, far superior in quality to the biopic.
My fear of the biopic is that it will be a lame attempt at duplicating the Johnny Cash / Ray Charles formula. Also, when I read that Rita was hoping to have Marley family members play parts in the movie I lost all hope of it being a top quality project.
The Marley family MUST block the biopic and ensure the documentary gets made.
Rumor: Gamespot's editorial director fired over Kane & Lynch review
Nov 30th 2007 2:03AM (Joystiq)Way to think short term at the expense of your reputation. A journalist has nothing if not a good reputation.
Rumor: Gamespot's editorial director fired over Kane & Lynch review
Nov 30th 2007 1:48AM (Joystiq)His reviews are detailed and always give a good idea of what to expect from a game.
His sense of humor really shined on the podcasts.
I will say, his grammer is a bit sloppy at times, but that may reflect more on the site editors (or lack of) than of him.
Anyway, now that the video review has been taken down and the written review cannot be found (unless explicitly searched for) I have about as much confirmation of the validity to this story as I need.
I will no longer listen to the Gamespot podcasts and I will no longer visit their site. I hope that I will be able to hear from Jeff soon at a more reputable site.
Gamespot should no longer exist. The poor guys who still work their should probably start looking elsewhere. Hopefully they won't sink with the ship.

Nov 16th 2007 6:21AM (Engadget)If Google wins the auction it will initially mean some cool innovative use of the spectrum, but then they will slowly use their power to make the rest of us their slaves.
Hmmm... who to root for?

Aug 1st 2007 2:28AM (Joystiq)Anyway, overall it looks like a great list of games, and I pretty much would want to play them all. Just don't have the time.
Rock Band: Nirvana's 'Nevermind,' real venues and a possible release date [Update]
Jul 28th 2007 3:31AM (Joystiq)Can your band mates be online?
[Updated] Jeff Bell asks message board user: "And your contribution to society is ... what?"
Jul 19th 2007 3:54AM (Joystiq)That's a no-no and would potentially (most likely) be violating MS's standards of business conduct (or most companies SBC for that matter).
If you work on a certain product it might be tempting to go out and convince people to buy your product (in all sorts of subtle and not so subtle ways) under the guise of a common non-partisan person.
Or you may wish to engage with competitors in order to coerce some inside information to gain a competitive advantage all without revealing your position or your employer.
These may seem like great ideas, but most(all) companies command their employees to do business above board with honesty and integrity (basic ethics).
Of course I'm saying all of this without any clue of what Jeffs involvement on NeoGAF is.
