@NaeemTHM That only applies to the Android OS, an example being that i'm running Android 1.5 yet other devices are on 2.1. Android is great from a developers point of view as Android is backwards compatible with previous version (To a degree).
There's a release of 2.1 coming in a week or two for my handset (HTC Hero) but due to Orange/HTC having their own schedules I have to play the waiting game.
Google are planning on just releasing all the Google made apps (GMail) on the app store so users like me don't have to wait for an official ROM update from my manafacturer.
Android is still quite immature, it's not been around as long as the iPhone OS has, but Android is definitely Apple's biggest contender.
I've been following the liveblog too and I 100% agree with you Dr.Blight, it's ridiculous that they've practically classes the 3G as obselete due to "hardware differences".
I've got an Android handset and anything that has been introduced through updates has ALWAYS worked no matter the hardware. My guess is the current 3G users will be buying the newest iPhone that Apple are no doubt going to announce.
It's took them long enough, Android does most of this out of the box.
GameCentre is practically a copy of the Xbox Live already integrated onto the Windows Phone 7. It's great how they've finally announced some new functionality but it shouldn't of taken 4 major versions to implement, to make matters worse the iPhone 3G can't support the multitasking, no doubt they'll be releasing a new iPhone to replace the 3GS too.
I completely forgot that Steam now supports DLC, I was reminiscing of the CoD:WaW patches adding new maps and thought they might of kept the same thing.
This is a great system but ironic in it's method as currently i'm reinstalling Battlefield 2142 and the Northern Strike expansion apparently doesn't belong to me anymore (Yes i'm using the same account with 2142).
If EA can avoid this kind of thing happening then it'll be great otherwise they'll be a lot of angry people.
"Modern Warfare 2 is the most disappointing game I have ever played. It's not just the glitchers in every game, it's the severe lack of any balance. If nearly everyone is running around 50mph, stabbing you from 20ft away, with dual wielding Model shotguns that require no aim from 100ft away, then things like tactics just go right out the window. Every time I try to flank the enemy, there is so much frantic chaos that it ends up being a frontal assault. I'm bored with it."

Modern Warfare 2 'care package' patch submitted to Microsoft certification
Feb 7th 2010 7:20PM (Joystiq)This guy pretty much sums up everything:
