Well, there is a shot called "The Lumberjack"... it is a pretty sweet and girly shot in terms of booze, but you eat half a piece of bacon before you do the shot and then eat the second half as a salty chaser. It has become kind of a tradition and it is hilariously contagious.
My PS3 was bricked by the update. They want me to pay $149 for repair plus $29 for shipping and whatever taxes there are. Bye bye Sony products in my house. I will not continue to support a company that doesn't stand by their products, especially when they cause the problem in the first place.
I ran the update via XMB and left the room. I have a stock fat PS3 80GB MGS4 edition. I have tried everything to ressurrect it! Removing and reconnecting cables, reseating HDD, replacing HDD, holding buttons down, etc...
In all cases flicking the PSU switch in the back to the ON position causes the PS3 to blink the red light and beep three times. No video, no power controls, nothing!
Great, still doesn't fix my now bricked PS3. $149 + $29 + taxes to repair a problem they caused. Not to mention my PS3 (aka Brick) is holding a Netflix Blu-ray disc hostage! Who would ever need a manual release triggered by a something as primitive as a paperclip? Surely not the masterfully engineered and flawless brick.
I would potentially pay $25-30 for a blu-ray if it was a hybrid disc that played on DVD players. I am the only one of my friends that has a Blu-ray player (PS3) and I don't see that changing anytime soon. So far I only have purchased Iron Man and just Netflix the rest.
