My white DS lite has cracked in the same place AND the touchscreen is have issue middle of the bottom edge (right where a game boy advance cartridge goes). Yes I'm sending it pack to Nintendo if I have to drive it to Redmond myself (I live in Seattle).
They quickly built the DS lites. My blue DS is built like a tank where as the plastic on the DS lite doesn't seem like it can withstand normal wear and tear after only 2 months of use. WTF?????
I've owned every nintendo console/device every made and never had such problems.
I was going to purchase the Wii when it dropped but if it's built from the same plastic as the DS Lite, I will pass.
