Bummer!!!!
I would definately have bought this, if not just for the opening cinematic - the sound is awesome!!
The PS3 needs something like this, someone should pick it up if it plays well.

Holidaze 2008: Boxing Day deals, for Canadians only

Dec 25th 2008 10:51AM (Joystiq)
I got a SanDisk 8GB Memory Stick Pro Duo for $30 and MK vs DC $40 online at Best Buy yesterday, don't even have to wake up on the 26th (even though Best Buy is across the street where I live). Can't wait to throw the 3.75 GB School Wikipedia full on there so I can settle those bar disputes when there's no WiFi access.

Got it here at EB Games in Montreal yesterday. But the Kartos costume link isn't working and neither is the game server.

Valve, Nunchuck release Ninja Reflex over Steam

Mar 22nd 2008 9:04AM (Joystiq)
This is the issue I have with "casual games" for consoles. I've played the DS game - it's as casual as they get; shoot some ninja cut-outs, grab some flies with chopsticks, bat some fruit with nun chucks...it goes on and on, just faster and faster and it costs almost as much as a "full" game.
Companies are making a ton of money passing off what would merely be a collection of mini-game add-ons in a regular game - for 75% of the price of a full game.
No wonder everyone is scrambling to get on the casual bandwagon.
I think it's time DS and Wii games get the same pricing as PSN, XBLA and Steam games, unless the media itself is costing them an additional $20?

You meant to say "background" downloading, not "backwards" downloading in #6 right? That doesn't sound like a selling point.

Sony to release $39.99 retail Warhawk this month

Oct 1st 2007 10:21PM (Joystiq)
Hmmm...then I guess Best Buy Canada really messed up when they sold us the Bluetooth bundle for $39.99 during launch week?
(And a BIG thanks to whoever brought that to our attention BTW!!!)

Warner Bros. ends advance screenings in Canada, blames piracy

May 8th 2007 7:02PM (Engadget)
How about Warner get their sh1t together when it comes to distribution in Canada (Quebec)?
They've missed street dates several times at the retail level - oh wait! It must be because we pirate their stuff so much. Never mind.

Sony and Immersion reach settlement, feel good vibrations

Mar 2nd 2007 5:43AM (Joystiq)
Couldn't Sony just have waited until the whole thing was settled? Was launching in Japan and N.A. for Xmas 2006 so important? (..because, we all know how well that went...) They could have had more games, more consoles, rumble AND some people would still be ALIVE if they waited 5 months and launched worldwide now.
