Just played a charcoal (DS) Lite that was not connected to a carousel today for the first time, and LOVED it. This thing cans my PSP by a mile... Not only that, but it's cheap! Time to trade in!

Sony long ago gave up its reputation for quality when they decided not to make that a priortiy. I have had "quality" issues with every Sony product I have owned, including two Vaio's (both of which have overheating batteries and the first of which had a docking station in which every last extension broke down within about a year), a Clie (lasted one week), and two PS2's (each of which lasted two weeks.) Sony needs to take a long look at what is causing their financial demise. I won't be buying a PS3, ever. Too much risk when there are two superior options on the market (Wii for fun and innovation, 360 for traditional gameplay and graphics that may unlimately outdo Sony's machine, now that a 1080p software upgrade is on the way!) I trust Windows the operating system seven times as much as I do any Sony product, and that should scare Sony to death.

I happen to know I am not alone.

The highest quality Sony products are made by Samsung.

I guess I will have to cancel my preorder for a Sun at Amazon.com. It would have made a nice living room ornament! Sigh...

That's more than one game a day for the rest of the year... Do they not realize we can't afford one game a day? They will all fail miserably, and then publishers will jump ship even more quickly to DS and Wii...

I think Sony doesn't realize, their only advantage the last two generations was console base. Their brand is meaningless for most people, and is becoming synonymous with low quality (durability especially) multimedia convergence.

They lose console base (the highest number of units out there) and they lose their third party support and the whole game.

Nintendo is in the best position to profit this year, though I'm a little partial to the 360 as a second system.

Sony has created its own bias.

Poor customer service.

Poor product quality.

Inability to meet promises.

Promises it knows it probably can't keep.

Add in the fact the PS3 might burn your house down (like Sony's power adapters seem to have a habit of doing), and buying a Sony system could be a very big mistake. Again.
