10 'Sexy' Super-Heroine Costumes That Really Aren't

Mar 28th 2011 2:43AM (ComicsAlliance)
I'd say Emma Frost's current costume, with the over-the-shoulder cape and revealing midriff, is a good costume that tries to be sexy and succeeds. It's kind of funny considering the rest of her costumes would be good candidates for this list.

Lost Planet producer: "western developers are leading the industry"

@15.

That's funny, you named a bunch of third-person puzzle games in post 8.

Console showdown: which produces the most noise?

What's with all the complainers. Do people still not understand that Engadet is a blog? and that they link to other blogs? And that, even though they may not supply or even agree with the content, it may be a good idea to post that content so that others may read it? And that because the result of a test is one you disagree with, it doesn't necessarily mean that person has been paid off?

"play this track while you get dressed and it will be like putting on the most epic pair of socks ever."

More epic than this?

Reno 911 hits Video Marketplace

Dec 16th 2006 4:41PM (Joystiq Xbox)
"Here's hoping that Microsoft can come up with a better system for keeping customers informed."

I fopund out through the dashboard ad. Reno 911, as well as the State, have been available since the 12th, I believe. They've uploaded a whole slew of shows, but these are the two best.

Today's hottest game video: 360 headset woes

Dec 9th 2006 11:49AM (Joystiq)
"I'm sorry, but this is user error."

No it's not. I've seen the same problem on two other launch 360 and my own 360 bought in July. At first I thought I had a faulty headset because it would get knocked off channel one by the controller. Eventually I got a new wireless controller because my other one has a faulty D-pad. I've had no syncing problems with that one.

"I consider that pretty much libel."

A lawyer wouldn't.

No gamerscore, no achievements on PS3

Oct 23rd 2006 11:19PM (Joystiq)
Gamerscores and Gamercards aren't selling points, but they are instead advertisements for themselves. In just a few pictures an numbers in someone's forum signature, you can quickly determine what they are playing, what kind of player are they and how much they've played overall. I can also quickly see how similar any random person is to my own gaming preferences. They are part of what makes the Live community an actual community that crosses games and genres.

Gamer auctioning XBL gamertag for PS3 [update 1]

After not playing for four days, he seems to be back.

Maybe he had second thoughs (who would really spend thousands of dollars on a gamertag that would quickly get overtaken by every other gamerscore whore?).

Joystiq Poll: Do you watch cutscenes? [update 1]

Oct 8th 2006 10:00PM (Joystiq)
"If people want games to be treated like an art form, don't turn around and treat them like work."

Cut-scenes are a part of the art of motion pictures and thus contribute in no way the artistry of video-games. Wired blogger Lore Sjöberg put it like this: "If a video game contains cut scenes or canned dialogue that is of literary merit, does that mean the video game is of literary merit? If so, the task of elevating games to literature is pretty simple; just write a standard first-person shooter, but between every level you have to read a chapter of Anna Karenina."
