@Puertoricarious If joystiq is still using the same system as last year, that means they just compile the top ten of the staff's individual lists, and use the most commonly found, which was why Fable 2 ended up, to much chagrin, being crowned their game of the year. Split/Second being on the top ten rather than say Castlevania doesn't imply that the former is, for this staff, ranked above the latter- rather, that more people enjoyed to some extent the former.

For me, I don't see this as a problem. It means a far more unique top ten than you'll find elsewhere, and every game on it is ensured to be enjoyable from a wider range of individual tastes.

Do we know yet if the 3DS is going to be region free? I will be studying in Italy during this time period, and it would be awesome to pick one up there. If I haven't run out of money by then.

Could we please just get it over with, release all this nonsense DLC, and start working on a real side-scrolling castlevania again? Perhaps for the 3DS?

@Goofus I know, and the main character is supposed to be male! THIS GAME IS SO RETAR- wait. What was that? It's a re-imaging of the story? Some details are going to be different while attempting to retain the core elements? Oh, ok.

There is a distinct lack of Brittany in this game. This is a problem.

This is definitely preferred, imo, to another Apollo game, but I doubt the series will ever return to its former glory until either another Phoenix is released, or a brand new defense attorney is featured.
