@mrmobius The video shows him playing the "game" during the fMRI (it's that huge grey box that he's using as a controller). I agree with your evaluation of the brain structures/function, but the prefrontal and cerebellar activity would most likely be due to increased attention. The motor cortex may have increased because the distractions resulted in more button mashing.
Also, the activity map picture of the brain is made by looking at changes in brain activity. So, it's not that only those parts of the brain are active during the racing game, but (I assume) that those parts are more active during when the distractions occurred vs. racing game without distractions.
