Star Wars: The Old Republic trailer requests your silence, meatbags

@hesham8 Interjection! Silence, meatbag!

Impressions: Crysis 2

Apr 9th 2010 6:41PM (Joystiq)
The protagonist has to be the most dense and oblivious person alive to completely miss a squad of helicopters getting shot down and massacred by aliens.

As an aside, I still can't beat Crysis using DirectX 10 because of game crippling bugs. Terribly written game, I'm not too excited about the sequel. I'll get it when it hits $20.

Lucky them to have a Canon 5D MKII handy; a setup like that costs at least $4000. I guess they couldn't find a cheaper camera with a wide angle lens...

Freedom Force and X-COM bundles $2 on Steam this weekend

Jan 30th 2010 9:18PM (Joystiq)
I highly recommend the X-COM package; UFO Defense and Terror from the Deep have excellent turn based strategy mechanics in the battlescape (battlescape ~= micro game) and superb base, tech, and economics management in the geoscape (geoscape ~= macro game). It's been ten years since I first played them, and I still haven't found a game that excels as well at all these things.
