I got a home cooked prime rib dinner with my friends, a bottle of Amarula, and I bought myself an iPod touch 32GB MP3 Player (3rd Generation). My room mates get my old iPod touch 8GB. I also bought them Starbucks, & Trader Joe's gift cards, along with tickets to Avatar, & a $50 PSN card for the PS3.

If Apple drops the price to $800, adds an SD card slot, and makes a version in matte black, I'd buy it.

Good Lord! Did Toshiba bring Huggy Bear out of retirement to design this? The only thing missing is Zebra skin wrist rests. If you lose a death match on this hideous thing, a big man ring wearing hand probably pops out of the screen and bitch slaps you.

I was already happy with my touch before the upgrade. The way I see it, I was able to turn my media player in to a PDA for $20, with most of the capabilities of my Palm TX. Hopefully, I'll be adding a to-do list app, an e-book reader, & a couple of games now that the SDK is being released. Between my EEE PC, Palm TX, DS Lite, PSP, & iPod Touch, I've never had it so good. Mobile gadgets rock! I've come a long way since my TRS-80 Model 100 days.

I ended up with $125 worth of itunes gift cards, 8GB ipod touch, polycarbonate ipod touch shell, an ASUS EEE PC 8G, an Ubuntu gutsy gibbon cd, the Blade Runner attache case collectors edition, & a new barrel for my shotgun. All in all, I scored some pretty cool stuff!

Goodbye Palm TX, Hello Nokia N800. My desktop & laptop computers have already made the leap to Linux, might as well get a new Linux handheld as well. Ijust don't use a cell phone enough to justify getting a Centro or Treo smartphone. I'm done with Palm.
